Riley Thayer

Riley Thayer enlisted as Private of Company F, 28th New York in May 1861 and served through to June 1863, at which time he was mustered out with the regiment.
He is buried at Alabama Cemetery in the town of Alabama, Genesee County, NY. He is buried along with his wife; Nancy and their son; Melvin.

Their sons marker reads:
MELVIN THAYER

The cemetery is to the north of Alabama on Rt63. It is to the west of the road and Riley Thayer is buried towards the back of the cemetery.
