John F Taylor | ||||||||||||||
John Taylor enlisted as Private in Company A of the 28th New York on April 25, 1861. He mustered into service with the regiment on May 22, 1861. He served with the regiment for the two year duration participating in the Battle of Winchester, Cedar Mountain, Antietam and Chancellorsville. He mustered out with the regiment on June 2, 1863. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried in section 2-016 of North Ridge Cemetery in Cambria, Niagara County, NY along with his wife, Julia, and his children; Albert, Georgie and Charles. Their marker stone reads as follows: | ||||||||||||||

Within the cemetery, they are buried in section 2. Following the main entrance road to the very back, turn right and right again towards the exit. Mr. Taylor and his family are buried about half way along the road on the right. | ||||||||||||||
