Henry Repasz

Henry Repass (Repasz on his enlistment papers) was born in 1836 and enlisted in Company A, 28th NY as Private on April 22nd 1861. He was promoted Ordnance Sergeant on 13th August 1861, promoted to 1st Sergeant, Company A, 1st Feb 1862 and then reduced to Sergeant towards the end of March 1862.
He was captured at the Battle of Winchester on May 25th 1862, was paroled four months later and mustered out with the regiment on June 2nd 1863. Mr. Repass died on 26th November 1905 and is buried at the Bath National Cemetery, Bath, Steuben County, NY.
He is buried at Section G, Row 16, Site 9 and his marker reads as follows:
