Sele P Quick

Sele Quick - seen as Selah P Quick on his grave stone - enlisted as Sergeant with Company E of the 28th New York in May 1861 and was discharged for disability three month later on August 7th 1861 at Berlin, Maryland.

Along with hs wife, Phoebe, he is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, Monroe County, NY. With them is a third marker stone which may belong to a child, however, it is almost completely unreadable.

His grave marker reads:

SELAH P QUICK Sergt Co E 28 NY Vol Died Mar 29 1916 Age 78 Yrs

His wife's marker reads:

PHOEBE OSBORNE Wife of Selah P. Quick Co. E 28 N.Y. Vol Died Jan. 1, 1922 Age 84 Yrs
