Henry J Harrington | ||||||||||||||
Henry Harrington enlisted with Company D of the 28th New York in May 1861 and was discharged for disability on July 17, 1861, at Camp Harris, Washington, DC.
He is buried at Central Cemetery, Hartland, Niagara County, NY along with his wife, Electa. In the cemetery, they are buried towards the south of the cemetery by the maintenance buildings.
His stone reads: | ||||||||||||||
HARRINGTON HENRY J. 1839 - 1918 ----- ELECTA MABEE His Wife 1830 - 1920
The above transcription is not entirely true. On the stone itself, the year of birth of each person is located to the top and left of the name and the year of death is located to the bottom and right of the name. However, when it was typed out as it appeared on the stone it looked somewhat confusing.
