David Hardie

When war broke out David Hardie set about recruiting men for Company G from the Albion area of Orleans County and was commissioned to served as their Captain in May 1861. He resigned in June 1862.
He is buried at Mount Albion Cemetery in Albion, Orleans County, NY and is buried there with his wife; Catherine and their three children; Elizabeth, Philip and Margaret.
Some details are unreadble, however, David and Catherines markers read:

Within the cemetery, Mr Hardie is buried at the very top of the hill in the cemetery. Find the highest point and he's just over the back of the peak. Apologies for the state of most of these pictures, with the exception of David Hardie himself, they were taken with video camera and patched together as the still photos appear to have gone missing.
