William O. Engler | ||||||||||||||
William Engler enlisted, at age 31, as a Private in Company K, 28th NY on May 7th, 1861. He was employed as a Clerk at the Brigade Headquarters from September 1861 to October 1862. On April 28th, 1863, he was discharged for disability and “expiration of service” at Baltimore, Md. He died less than a month later on May 19th, 1863. | ||||||||||||||
Mr. Engler is buried in St. Peters Cemetery in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. | ||||||||||||||

Within the cemetery, there is a small track at the back which leads through to an older section of the cemetery. Within this section, the track curves around to the left and he is buried on the left hand side of the track. | ||||||||||||||
