James Coddington | ||||||||||||||
At the age of 28, James Coddington enlisted in Company H of the 28th New York on September 5th, 1861. He served with the regiment until January 30th, 1863, at which time he was discharged for disability while at Philadelphia, Pa. He subsequently reenlisted with the 143rd NY. He is buried at Rock Hill Cemetery in Rock Hill, Sullivan County, NY. | ||||||||||||||

The small cemetery, one block from the main road, is nicely kept. Mr. Coddington’s grave is located toward the back of the cemetery to the left of the road that goes into the cemetery, and at the end of row. While there are many Coddingtons buried across this cemetery, his grave stands alone. | ||||||||||||||
