At age 27, Orrin Salisbury enlisted as a Private in Company C, 28th NY. He served through the duration of the war and mustered out on June 2nd, 1863. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in the town of Wilson, Niagara County, NY along with a number of other relatives. | ||||||||||||||

They are buried at the very back of the cemetery. While the cemetery starts out very open and wide, it closes down to a very narrow point at the back with tracks leading into marchland at the back. The Salisbury family plot is at the very tip of this point. | ||||||||||||||
