William W Rowley

William Rowley enlisted as Private of Company F, 28th NY in May 1861. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on July 4th 1861. In September 1861, he was detailed as Signal Officer and served with the signal corps for several months. He rejoined the regiment and was promoted to Captain of Company E on December 1st 1862. He was mustered out with the regiment in June 1863.
He is buried at Byron Cemetery in the town of Byron, Genesee County, NY along with his wife; Alice, and father; Alonzo.
His marker reads:
