Arthur McKinney

Arthur McKinney enlisted as Private of Company G, 28th New York in May 1862. However, he was reported ill very shortly afterwards and when the regiment left Albany on June 24th, he was left behind and was discharged for disability, at Albany, on June 28th 1861.
To attest to the severity of his illness, he died a few days later on July 2nd 1861. We do not know what he died of at this time.
Mr. McKinney is buried at Mount Albion Cemetery in Albion, Orleans County, New York.
His marker reads:

The cemetery has a small Civil War section to the west of the cemetery. Entering the cemetery from Rt31, through the gate nearest to Albion, the Civil War monument is almost immediately on the left side of the road.
