Marcus Manderville

Marcus Mandaville (Manderville on his enlistment papers) enlisted as Private of Company I of the 28th New York on September 6th 1862. He signed three year enlistment papers. When the regiment mustered out, in June 1863, he was transferred to the Barracks at Albany and, from there, was either assigned to the 10th Maine Battalion or the 60th NYVI.
He is buried at Corwin Cemetery in the town of Newfane, Niagara County, NY along with his wife; Louisa.
Marcus and Louisa are both on the same marker stone which reads as follows:
