Franklin B Gage

Franklin Gage enlisted with the 28th NY, Company E as Private in May 1861. He was captured on August 27th 1862 at the Second Battle of Manassas. He was paroled and rejoined the regiment. He was captured again at Chancellorsville on May 2nd 1863 and was paroled 12 days later to be mustered out with the regiment on June 3rd 1863.
He is buried at West Avenue Cemetery, Canandaigua, Ontario County, NY along with his wife, Helen, in the "Rear Section" of the cemetery which runs along the northern edge of the cemetery. He is buried in the center of that section next to the maintenance buildings which are located at the end of the central track.
