John Bacon

John Bacon was born in England in March 1840. He is buried at Bates Road Cemetery, Ridgeway, Medina, Orleans County, NY. Bates Road Cemetery is at the junction of Rt104 and Bates Road. The cemetery itself has a narrow front onto Rt104 and extends down Bates Road to the South.

He is buried next to his wife, Mary, towards the south-west of the cemetery.

His stone reads:

JOHN BACON 28th NYVI. 1840 - 1916

His wifes stone reads:

MARY BACON HIS WIFE 1844 - 1918

Few stones have been found more legible than these two.
