Leander M. Young

Along with his wife, parents and siblings, he is buried in the Old Liberty Cemetery in the town of Liberty, Sullivan County, NY. The family has a large monument with smaller headstones with initials of each person.
The monument reads as follows:

1835-1905
-----
CARRIE FITCH
His Wife
1841 – 1910

-----
DELIA CARRIER

-----
MARIA CARRIER
Wife of Samuel M. Young
Jan. 11, 1802 – Jan. 30, 18287
Back Side:
PHILEMON C. YOUNG

-----
MINERVA E. YOUNG

I’d suggest that Samuel and Delia are the parents of Leander, Philemon & Minerva Young.
The cemetery is found across the road from St. Peter’s Cemetery in Liberty. Many of the graves are in very poor condition, with many toppled over, some broken into pieces. The Young plot is located about halfway deep into the cemetery. If one stands with his back to the flag in St. Peter’s, the Young plot is just south of the flag.
