George Woods | ||||||||||||||
On May 2nd, 1861, George Woods enlisted as a Private in Company C, 28th NY. He served with the regiment for the duration of its service and mustered out on June 2nd, 1863. | ||||||||||||||
Based on his pension he reenlisted with the 2nd New York Mounted Rifles. However, no other details are known about his service with that regiment. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried at North Ridge Cemetery in Cambria, Niagara County, NY along with his wife and a number of other relatives who may well be their children. | ||||||||||||||
