Riley Thayer enlisted as Private of Company F, 28th New York in May 1861 and served through to June 1863, at which time he was mustered out with the regiment. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried at Alabama Cemetery in the town of Alabama, Genesee County, NY. He is buried along with his wife; Nancy and their son; Melvin. | ||||||||||||||
