John Repass | ||||||||||||||
John Repass enlisted as 2nd Lieutenant in Company A, 28th NY on April 22, 1861 at age 30 and mustered in service with the regiment on May 22, 1861. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant of Company A on January 30, 1862. However, he remained in this capacity for only two weeks and resigned on February 12, 1862. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried at Cold Springs Cemetery in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. His marker stone read as follows: | ||||||||||||||

Within the cemetery, he is buried near the top of the hill close to Linden Road in Lot D, Section 028. He is almost directly across the road from his brother, Benjamin Repass, who also served with the 28th NY. | ||||||||||||||
