George Ireland enlisted as Private of Company F, 28th NY, in May 1861. He was discharged for disability on October 13th 1862 and New York, NY. He died nine months later in Feb 1863. | ||||||||||||||
He is buried at Falls Cemetery in Greece, Monroe County, NY. He is buried there with his brother, Lauren E, and parents; James and Harriet M. Ireland. | ||||||||||||||
The cemetery has Ridge Road (Rt104) along its northern edge and it is here that the older burials are located, including those of George Ireland and his family. His family plot is no more than 40 foot from the northern edge of the cemetery. | ||||||||||||||
