Hamilton Holden enlisted as Private in Company C in May 1861 and served through to June 1863, when the regiment was mustered out. He was captured at the Battle of Winchester, Va on May 25, 1862. He was paroled on June 9, 1862 and rejoined the regiment. Based on his gravestone, he reenlisted with the 91st NY, however, this is not documented anywhere else.
Mr. Holden is buried at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, Niagara County, NY. There do not appear to be any other people buried with him.
