George K Benson

George Benson was born in 1838 and is buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Shelby, Orleans County, NY.

Mr Benson is buried to the south of the road which passes through the center of the cemetery. He is buried along with his wife, Amanda.

His stone reads:

GEORGE K. BENSON Born Aug 1. 1825 Died Oct. 11. 1903 ----- AMANDA His Wife Born Oct. 18. 1814 Died Nov. 18. 1902

George Benson enlisted with Company E of the 28th, at Canandaigua and served for the two year enlistment, being mustered out in June 1863.
