James Franklin Bush

James Franklin Bush enlisted with Company B of the 28th New York in May 1861 as Sergeant. He served through to June 1863. However, he appears to have been reduced in rank to Private in Jan 1863.
He is buried along with his brother, Captain William Wirt Bush of the 28th, at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, Niagara County, NY.
Mr. Bush is buried at the Cold Springs Road end of the cemetery by the railroad tracks which run along the northern edge of the cemetery.
His stone reads:
Sgt
J. F. BUSH
Co. B
28th N.Y.
Inf.
On the first picture, James Franklin Bush is on the small stone to the left of the picture. The railroad tracks are just over the hedge in the background.
