| John Waters | ||||||||||||||
| John Waters, of Rushville in Yates County, enlisted as Private in Company E of the 28th New York on May 14th 1861 at the age of 19. He served as a teamster in the Post Train from January to May 1863 and was mustered out with the regiment on June 2nd 1863. | ||||||||||||||
| He died on November 20th 1880 and is buried at Rushville Cemetery in Rushville, Yates County. | ||||||||||||||
| His marker stone reads as follows: | ||||||||||||||
| JOHN WATERS Co. E 28. Reg't. N.Y. Vol. Inf. Died Nov. 20. 1880. Aged 36 Yrs. | ||||||||||||||
